Serving up Quality: Five-Site Leisure Caterer Teams Up with JJ

Under the SF Parks umbrella sits five family owned, leisure and caravan parks across picturesque North Wales, perfectly located near all the must-see attractions. And when it comes to dining, they've got their guests covered, with three mouth-watering restaurants offering everything from casual eating and entertainment to a sit-down meal perfect for the whole family; all led by Group Catering Manager, Martin Gibbon.
Using JJ Foodservice has helped to take their menus, packed full of delicious options like dirty fries, classic lasagne, juicy burgers, fish and chips and nachos, to the next level - all thanks to JJ sales rep Mark's recommendations.
JJ products elevate our best-selling dishes!
Martin told us that JJ products feature on the menus across all three restaurants, including popular dishes like combo platters of chicken strips, breaded mushrooms and garlic bread, fish and chips, and chicken fillet burgers.
"We use the JJ skinless and boneless cod fillets for our fish and chips, and I'm so pleased with the quality. It's a fantastic product that fries very nicely, and the fillets are all consistent in size which helps us with controlling portions to reduce waste and keep our costs down.
"For us, it's important that we serve good quality food that isn't extortionate. Every caravan has a kitchen, so the customers are making the choice between cooking for themselves or dining in our restaurants, so we aim to offer them an experience that will make them return - costs and quality are always at the forefront.
"We even switched to JJ's Royal Roast coffee without telling our customers, and have had nothing but compliments and great feedback from them", Martin told us.
Crafting menus with quality in mind
Martin joined the SF Parks team eight years ago, and the company has since grown and adapted with the times. As Group Catering Manager, Martin's role includes working closely with his chef team to create, cost and produce the menus for his three restaurants - Jakes Bar, The Clubhouse and Sun Valley.
"When I sit down with my chef to create new menus, I have to consider quality and costs, and that's what is important to me when I look at the suppliers we use. Are their products consistent and do they offer good value for money. I get all of that, and more, by using JJ Foodservice.
"I met with Mark from JJ, who introduced me to the business. I wasn't really interested in taking on a new supplier, after we'd just worked out all of the costings for our new menus. But Mark went over and above to analyse our menus and suggest JJ products that would fit in. It worked out cheaper than what we were already using, so it was a no brainer!"
The start of a strong relationship
The SF Parks team have only been using JJ Foodservice for four months across their five sites, but Martin told us that "as we're getting ready for a busy summer season, we're looking forward to building a stronger relationship with JJ."

The online ordering is fantastic, and it's a great benefit being able to book a one-hour delivery slot, so I know exactly when the drivers will arrive to ensure I'm prepared, and also have enough staff around to help put the delivery away.
