JJ Offers Helping Hand Packs to Enfield Families
Updated: 22 February, 2024
Last week our team donated more than 200 ‘Helping Hand Packs’ to local charity The Felix Project, to help local Enfield families to deal with the cost-of-living crisis.
The bags, put together by our fantastic warehouse team, contain a mixture of healthier snacks, drinks, and toiletries to help local families this October half term.
“Enfield is expected to be one of the hardest hit areas impacted by soaring energy bills,” said HR Manager for JJ Foodservice, Joanna Florczak (pictured below, centre right).
“We are not the biggest business, but we are keen to help, and are very grateful to our suppliers and The Felix Project, who worked with us to donate a total of 207 Helping Hand packs.”
Each pack contains: Pip Organic Apple Juice, Bare Fruit Organic Apple Chips, Off the Beaten Path Rice and Pea Chips; Enliven Raspberry Shampoo; Enliven Coconut Conditioner; Enliven hand sanitiser and Twining’s English Breakfast Tea.
The Felix Project is a leading redistribution charity in London. The group rescue surplus food from suppliers, and then deliver it to over 1,000 community groups, charities, and schools across every London borough.
Charlotte Hill, CEO of The Felix Project said, “This is a wonderful donation, with some fantastic products that will have been hugely welcomed by the recipients. We were thrilled to help deliver the packages and would like to say a big thank you to JJ Foodservice and their partners for this generous contribution at such a crucial time.”
We would like to thank our supplier partners DCS Group, Twining’s, Pip Organic and PepsiCo for the generous donations.
