Last week, JJ Foodservice proudly took part in the Women in Wholesale Speed Mentoring event in London, where our COO, Kaan Hendekli, joined inspiring leaders from across the industry to support women of all levels working in wholesale.

Under the theme Work Happy, the event brought together women keen to learn, connect and grow in their careers, both personal and professionally. 

Kaan (pictured below), who’s risen through the ranks over 15 years at JJ, from telesales to COO, shared his personal tools for stepping into leadership.

“There’s no right or wrong,” said Kaan. “No matter your role, we all have valuable experiences to share. It was a privilege to connect with future leaders and hear what a positive workplace means from their perspective too.”

Transport Delivery Assistant Praveena Veetil also attended and said, “It was great to meet people across the industry and make new connections I’ll definitely stay in touch with.”

WiW founder and our very own Head of Communications, Elit Rowland, added, “It’s fantastic to be part of an initiative that continues to drive positive change in our industry.”

It was great to see many of our supplier partners and industry friends as well as meeting future partners .
