Three Easy Ways with Premium Prawns

 One of our favourite ways to celebrate special occasions is with our chef-quality prawns – here’s three easy ways to whip up a restaurant quality meal for Mother’s Day  
 
Chilli Premium Prawn Linguini
 
You cannot go wrong with this classic – rich with tomatoes and the perfect level of warming spice. It’s no surprise it’s on almost every traditional Italian restaurant menu!

Ingredients
 
·      300g linguini pasta (serves four)
·      250g large raw prawns
·      2 tablespoons olive oil
·      3 cloves garlic, minced
·      1 red chilli, finely chopped (adjust to taste)
·      1 can (400g) diced tomatoes
·      1 teaspoon dried oregano
·      Salt and black pepper to taste
·      Grated Parmesan cheese, for serving
Instructions:
 
Cook the linguini pasta according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.
 
In a large pan, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and chopped chilli. Sauté for a minute until fragrant.
 
Add the premium prawns to the skillet and cook until they turn pink and opaque, about 2-3 minutes on each side.
 
Pour in the diced tomatoes with their juice and add dried oregano. Season with salt and black pepper. Allow the mixture to simmer for five to seven minutes
 
Toss the cooked linguini into the prawn and tomato mixture. Ensure the pasta is well coated with the sauce.
 
Optionally, sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese on top before serving and enjoy
 
Garlic Butter Prawn Spaghetti

Ingredients
·      300g of cooked spaghetti
·      250g-500g of raw prawns
·      4 tablespoons unsalted butter
·      4 cloves of garlic, minced
·      Salt and black pepper to taste
·      Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
·      Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
 
Instructions:
 
Cook the spaghetti according to the package instructions in a large pot of salted boiling water. Drain and set aside.
 
In a large or pan, melt the butter over medium heat.
 
Add the minced garlic and red pepper flakes to the melted butter. Sauté for about one to two minutes until the garlic becomes fragrant.
 
Add the prawns to the skillet. Cook for two to three minutes on each side or until they turn pink and opaque. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
 
Once the prawns are cooked, add the cooked spaghetti to the pan. Toss everything together, ensuring the spaghetti is well coated with the garlic butter.
 
Sprinkle with lashings of grated Parmesan cheese for extra flavour.
 
Serve immediately and enjoy!
 
Pesto Pasta and Fresh Basil Prawns
 
A popular 'go-to' for any busy working person, pesto pasta is the perfect base for anyone that needs a quick meal with heaps of flavour. Adding prawns and avocado to this classic takes it to the next level, without extending prep time...

Ingredients:
 
·      300g of your favourite pasta
·      300-500g of raw prawns
·      Handful of fresh basil leaves
·      1 ripe avocado, peeled and diced
·      5 tablespoons pesto sauce
·      Salt and black pepper to taste
·      Grated Parmesan cheese for garnish (optional)
 
Instructions:
 
Cook the pasta according to the package instructions in a pot of salted boiling water. Drain and set aside.
 
In a pan, cook the prawns over medium heat until they turn pink and opaque. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
 
Combine the fresh basil leaves, diced avocado, and pesto sauce with the cooked pasta, prawns, and pesto. Toss until well coated.
 
Garnish with grated Parmesan cheese if desired. Serve immediately and enjoy!
