We’re incredibly proud to celebrate four inspiring women from JJ Foodservice who were recognised at this year’s Women in Food & Drink Awards at the Hilton Bankside — with two taking home top honours. 

Celebrating our winners

Category Manager Suna Durakoglu (pictured above) was recognised for her work leading JJ’s sustainability-focused packaging development.

From kraft containers to bagasse clamshells, Suna has introduced eco-friendly solutions that perform in real kitchens while helping customers move away from plastic.

Her ability to identify gaps in the market and turn them into commercially successful products has made a lasting impact across the business.

Delivery Supervisor Praveena Premchand also took home an award after an exceptional first year at JJ.

 Joining as a Delivery Administrator at just 25, Praveena now leads a team of 40 drivers, starting her day at 4:30am.

As the first woman in JJ’s delivery office, she has brought confidence, positivity and inclusivity to a traditionally male-dominated environment.

Proud of our finalists

We’re equally proud of our two finalists, who are making a real difference across the business.

HR Co-ordinator Sushmitha Venkatesh has helped shape JJ’s approach to health, safety and wellbeing.

From introducing epilepsy awareness training to developing personalised health plans and leading our Wellbeing Plan, Sushmitha’s work has supported teams across all 12 branches.

Her contribution has also played a part in JJ achieving Great Place to Work certification in both 2025 and 2026.

Transport Administrator Cheyenne Aymer, JJ’s first Transport Administrator Co-ordinator, has helped raise standards across the transport function.

She introduced a new Reprimand Procedure that reduced direct driver charges dramatically, refreshed the Delivery Manual, and works closely with suppliers to secure better value – delivering improvements that benefit both teams and customers.
